Where food meets art! Sakuratei is a famous okonomiyaki and monjayaki (Japanese pizza) restaurant in one of the most artistic districts in Tokyo, Harajuku. The restaurant is stunningly decorated, and you can choose your own toppings and make your own pizza with the teppan. An English menu is available so you don’t have to worry about any language barriers.

1. The walls of the restaurant, inside and out, are all handpainted original works by the artists of Design Festa, a bi-annual international event.

2. The interior walls of Sakura Tei showcase a mural that reflects its local roots, with famous pop culture characters amidst traditional houses.

3. The restaurant is famous for its okonomiyaki and monjayaki (savoury Japanese customisable pancakes filled with delicious ingredients and fried on a flatiron).

4. Every inch of Sakura Tei pops with colour and style thanks to the eclectic murals on its walls, created by artists from Design Festa.

5. The wooden balcony softens the vibrant modern decor, allowing the restaurant to blend in harmoniously with the rest of this traditional neighbourhood.
