The guesthouse is operated and founded by Taiwanese, so you can communicate with them in Mandarin or English if you aren’t fluent in Japanese. The rooms in Ueno House are not fancy or large, but they are very neat and tidy. Guests need to take off their shoes before entering. Ueno House only costs around 3000 yen a night per person. It’s a good choice for a family trip which can be costly when it comes to accommodation. It’s close to the Ueno Station, so you can enjoy the nearby attractions.
